So, you may have heard that we're on fire down here.
It's not so bad in the cities, although the news is taking a toll on all of us as we grieve people, animals, livings, and our environment.
This is this evening:

The colour in the photo doesn't capture the redness of the sun and the light, which gives everything an eerie scarlet tint.
This photo is from a couple of weeks ago and shows you the kind of light we're looking at.

Some days the smoke haze covers the sky. Others, it just tints it.
It's nothing near as bad as the NSW South Coast and Victorian Gippsland areas. Not even close. Still, as I mentioned above, it's subtly stressful on us all. There's a crazy-hot day - the 45C+ ones - and then a few cooler days to compensate. Tomorrow and Thursday will be smoky again, and a little warmer than today, but Friday will probably hit 40C.
I'll try to remember to take photos.
